About our cause
Founded in 2018 as a youth organization, Da Base Music and Education Centre initially provided young people with a safe, creative space to explore their talents in music and the performing arts. However, as demand for our services grew, it became clear that there was a critical need for specialized support tailored to young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those requiring Alternative Provision. Responding to this shift, we transformed our focus, expanding our programs to provide inclusive, impactful education for these young people.
Today, Da Base is a leader in SEN and Alternative Provision, offering a range of creative education programs, workshops, and mentoring services that support young people who thrive in non-traditional learning environments. Our reputation as an innovator in this field has allowed us to build strong partnerships with local schools, councils, and organizations, creating a collaborative network dedicated to empowering SEN students and those in alternative education pathways.
From personalized mentoring to accessible music workshops and our celebrated annual awards show, we take pride in helping young people discover their potential, build confidence, and achieve both personal and artistic success. As we continue to grow, Da Base remains committed to meeting the needs of every young person, providing meaningful and inclusive educational opportunities that support their unique journeys.
As our program continues to grow, we are eager to expand our range of equipment to better serve the young people we work with. Right now, we simply don’t have enough resources to meet the increasing demand, and we’re committed to providing a wider variety of engaging and enriching tools for our youth. By investing in new and diverse equipment, we can offer fresh experiences, inspire creativity, and create even more meaningful opportunities for young people in our community. We hope you’ll join us in making this vision a reality!
